“Erada” is a nation-wide program and a component of the economic and social productivity enhancement programs of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. The Program was launched in 2002. The Ministry of Planning & International Cooperation is funding and supervising this program, as the Ministry considers it to have significant effects on individuals and communities; by encouraging them to initiate and raise awareness of the importance of direct production; as well as opportunities to invest in small and medium-sized enterprises to improve income and raise the standard of living. This can be achieved by mainstreaming within local communities a culture of investment, and exploration of investment opportunities within available resources in the communities to assist in the establishment of projects, and develop individuals’ employability skills.

 

Conditions for obtaining service

Training

 

• Specialized training for entrepreneurs: the beneficiary must be an entrepreneur.
• Workshops, lectures, training sessions and awareness programs: There are no specific conditions.
• Fellowship program: holders of secondary, diploma or university degrees.
• Advisory services: Provide a source of project funding.
• Financing Services: The beneficiary has a project proposal.
• Marketing and quality services, and quality control: The beneficiary must be an entrepreneur.

• Training includes: specialized training for entrepreneurs, workshops, lectures, training sessions, outreach programs, and fellowship program.
• Advisory services include: development of investment proposals, market studies, feasibility studies, financial needs assessment of projects, and advice for funding, assistance during the establishment of the project and provision of administrative and technical consultancy for already existing projects.
• Marketing services for food and handicraft products for the benefit of Projects of community bodies and individuals; through marketing plans that cover the product, pricing, customers, and marketing outlets, exhibitions, advertisement, and promotion.
• Quality management and control: Quality services include qualifying the beneficiary for quality certificates and granting quality certificates, while quality control includes quality assurance of food and handicraft products, and quality assurance of training and technical support.
